In absence of Indian stalwarts like PV Sindhu, Lakshya Sen, HS Prannoy and duo of Satwik-Chirag, Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand will spearhead the contingent at Texas.

The Indian women’s doubles pair reached the final four at Singapore Open and had a strong finish at Indonesia Open. They would like to chase for their first ever BWF World Tour title (S300 & above). They are seeded second and have received a bye in the opening round.

Priyanshu Rajawat is the biggest singles name in the Indian contingent who is finding it tricky to return to his winning form, after winning Orleans Masters last year. Young gun Ayush Shetty will be in action, a tough draw for the boy, but capable enough to make a good mark at Texas.

The current India No. #2 men’s doubles pair of Sai Krishna Pratheek and Krishna Prasad Garaga will be in action. Malvika Bansod and Tanya Hemanth will be India’s hopes in women’s singles at this US Open.
