Satwik-Chirag have faced the Koreans only once in their career at the Malaysian Open 2025 earlier this season. The match saw Kim Won Ho and Seo Seung Jae emerging victorious who took 1-0 lead in their head to head.

Meanwhile, mixed doubles witnessed a massive shake-up. China’s 20-year dominance in the event came to an end as no Chinese pair will contest the final for the first time ever.

Malaysia’s Chen Tang Jie and Toh Ee Wei stunned world No.1 Feng Yanzhe and Huang Dongping in a thrilling three-set battle, 22-24, 21-19, 21-17.

On the other side, Thailand’s dynamic duo, Dechapol Puavaranukroh and Sapsiree Taerattanachai, edged past China’s Jiang Zhen Bang and Wei Ya Xin, 21-17, 22-20, securing their spot in the final.

In men’s singles, the world No.11 Weng Hong Yang of China will face Lin Chun-Yi of Chinese Taipei. The women’s singles final will feature the world No.1 An Se Young, who defeated PV Sindhu in the quarterfinals, taking on China’s Han Yue.
