Senior National Basketball Championship 2023: Defending champions Punjab, Services drawn in Group A

The tournament is scheduled to be held in Ludhiana, Punjab.

The Senior National Basketball Championships 2023 is scheduled to be held from 3-10 December in Ludhiana, Punjab. The championships will be jointly organised by BFI (Basketball Federation of India) and PBA (Punjab Basketball Federation).

Defending champions Punjab and Indian Railways have been placed in Group A. The former got the better of heavyweights Tamil Nadu while the latter dethroned Kerala (110-64) for the title triumph in the last edition. Other teams to finish in the podium finish were Indian Railways men and Delhi women respectively.

In the recently concluded National Games 2023, Punjab once again defeated Tamil Nadu in the shoot off. Punjab came back from behind to defeat TN and now will be the favourites to attain the national title. On the other hand, Kerala edged out Karnataka to occupy the top spot by three points (57-54).
