The FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Qualifiers will kick off for India on February 23, with India facing Kazakhstan at the Republican Velodrome in Saryarka. This is the first of the three windows that will determine the 16 teams that will advance to the FIBA Asia Cup in Saudi Arabia next year.
India, ranked 81st in the world, is in Group E with Iran (rank 27), Kazakhstan (rank 68) and Qatar (rank 104). The top two teams in each of the six groups will qualify for the FIBA Asia Cup, while the third-placed teams will have another chance in a separate tournament for the remaining four spots.

The team also boasts of experienced players like Muin Bek Hafeez and Vishesh Bhriguvanshi, as well as Princepal Singh, who was part of the Sacramento Kings team that won the 2021 NBA Summer League.
