China’s first league stage fixture came against the hosts, Saudi Arabia. Despite facing a stern challenge, they won the match with a scoreline of 93-88.

China’s Jinqiu Hu returned with 20 points and five rebounds to accelerate China’s scoring against Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, he was the team’s top performer in the FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Qualifiers, averaging 17.5 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. He is expected to continue his strong form against the Indian outfit as well.
Pranav Prince
Although India could not open their account with a victory against Saudi Arabia, Pranav Prince justified the hype surrounding him. He returned as the team’s joint-best player with 12 points, including seven rebounds and five assists.
It is worth noting that Prince was also India’s top performer in the qualifying event of the FIBA Asia Cup 2025. He averaged 10.9 points and 6.9 rebounds per game. With consistent form and the ability to deliver in crucial situations, he can be one of the finest players in this game.
