Oleksandr Usyk vs Rico Verhoeven is now mere hours away. Officially promoted as Glory in Giza, the event will take place on May 23 at the Giza Necropolis, in front of the ancient Pyramids of Giza in Giza, Egypt. WBC has unveiled the “King of the Nile” ceremonial belt, which will be awarded to the winner.

Undisputed WBC, WBA, IBF, and Ring Magazine heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk will put the WBC & WBA titles on the line against Rico Verhoeven (1-0), who is undefeated since 2015 and has held the GLORY Heavyweight title for over a decade.

Apart from the highly anticipated main event, the historic boxing card will feature multiple title clashes, with the clash between Hamzah Sheeraz and Alem Begic for the vacant WBO title as the co-main event.
