India’s athletics medal tally at Commonwealth Games 2026

India sent a 32-member athletics contingent to the Glasgow Games

Indian athletes have been outstanding in the ongoing Commonwealth Games 2026, with the country sitting fourth in the overall standings, having won 39 medals so far. This haul includes 13 golds, 17 silvers, and nine bronzes.

While most of the spotlight has been stolen by the Indian boxers and weightlifters, the athletics and para athletics squad members have also shone on the biggest stage.

Long-distance runner Gulveer Singh became the first Indian athlete to win two medals in track and field in a single CWG event. He bagged silver in the men’s 10,000m event, clocking 27 minutes and 49.78 seconds. He made history on Day 9 with a bronze in the men’s 5000m event, becoming India’s first CWG medallist in that event.
