India ended its boxing campaign at the Commonwealth Games 2026 with 10 medals
Indian boxing signed off from the Glasgow Commonwealth Games with its most successful outing ever, walking away with 10 medals in total, including seven gold and three silver, comfortably eclipsing the previous best of three golds set at Birmingham 2022.
The gold rush began with Preeti Pawar, who beat Canada’s Scarlett Delgado 5-0 in the women’s 54kg final, and continued through the day as Jaismine Lamboria (57kg) and Sakshi Chaudhary (51kg) both blanked their opponents by identical 5-0 scorelines.

Priya Ghanghas added a fourth gold with a 4-1 win in the 60 kg category, before Arundhati Choudhary made it five with another dominant 5-0 verdict in the 70 kg final.
Sachin Siwach then produced the night’s most dramatic finish, coming from behind to edge Namibia’s Ndevelo 3-2 in a tense men’s 60kg decider, and Ankush Panghal rounded things off with a 4-1 win in the 80kg category to seal India’s seventh gold.

It wasn’t all gold, though, as Jadumani Singh Mandengbam, Lovlina Borgohain, and Narender Berwal all fell just short in their respective finals, having to settle for silver instead. Borgohain’s upset was the most shocking of all, as she was expected to comfortably win gold for the nation.

Even so, having all 10 Indian boxers reach a final in the first place was an unprecedented achievement in itself, with a clean sweep of the semifinals that few saw coming.
Despite most of India’s strong disciplines being cut down from the Glasgow edition, boxing has almost single-handedly ensured that the nation finishes in the top-5 of the medal tally table. This sensational performance also gives India huge confidence ahead of the 2026 Asian Games.
