AB de Villiers praised India's "Special Talent" Yashasvi Jaiswal on his debut performance vs WI.
It was a dream debut for the 21-year-old Yashasvi Jaiswal, who became only the third Indian opener to score a century on test debut. He helped the visitors register a big win by an innings and 141 runs over the West Indies in the first game in Dominica. The left-hander won "Man of the Match" and became only the eighth Indian player to win MOTM in his debut test.
Yashasvi Jaiswal impressed everyone with his temperament and scored 171 runs off 387 balls, including 16 fours and one six. Many former cricketers and cricket pundits were impressed by the way he played his first international innings, taking time when required and punishing the bad balls. Former South African superstar AB de Villiers was awestruck by his debut performance and lauded the 21-year-old, calling him a "special talent."

In a video posted on his YouTube channel "The 360 Show,", De Villiers praised the left-hander and said that when he saw him for the first time bat in the IPL, he was looking good. He also said that Jaiswal is ahead of other youngsters and has more time to play than other players of his age. The former South African star stated that there were some good performances in the first test, but for him, Jaiswal stood out.
De Villiers said, "Yashasvi Jaiswal is a special talent. He is a hot prospect for Indian cricket in the future. This is not easy to score a Hundred in the first Test match. He played Incredibly well. He has so much time. I'm very to watch happy him to score a Hundred in his first test. The very first time I saw him bat in the IPL, I thought there is something really special (about him). You can always sort of look at a guy and (see) how much time he has facing the ball. He (Jaiswal) has the got the time facing the ball."
Furthermore, he also pointed out how late Jaiswal plays the ball, whether he is facing a pacer or a spinner. The 21-year-old was only the 18th opener to score a century on his debut. His 387-ball innings is the most number of balls faced by an Indian debutant. Jaiswal will be back in action in the second test on July 20 (Thursday) in Port of Spain.
