Abhishek Sharma reveals when Rahul Dravid gave permission to abuse opposition team on field

Abhishek Sharma was part of the 2018 Under-19 World Cup winning team, which was coached by Rahul Dravid.
Youngster Abhishek Sharma has made an interesting revelation about India’s former U19 and senior men’s cricket team coach Rahul Dravid when he had given a free license to the players of the 2018 Under-19 World Cup team to hurl back abuses at the Bangladeshi players ahead of their quarter-final match.
Abhishek was part of the Prithvi Shaw-led Indian team that clinched the 2018 U-19 World Cup trophy in New Zealand. The side was coached by Dravid.
India faced Bangladesh in the quarter-final in Queenstown. Recently, Abhishek revealed that, before the match, Dravid told the players to not refrain from abusing the Bangladeshi players if they do first.
Nobody expected him to say something like this: Abhishek Sharma
India had lost to Bangladesh in the U-19 Asia Cup before the World Cup. Dravid’s instructions fired up the Indian players and they went on to win the game convincingly.
Speaking with former teammate Manjot Kalra on the YouTube channel Second Innings, Abhishek revealed, “We had lost to Bangladesh in the U-19 Asia Cup. When we faced them again in the World Cup, Rahul Dravid told us that if they abuse, you also give it back. Nobody expected him to say something like this. We are all very pumped up for that match.”
Abhishek starred in that match with both bat and ball as India hammered Bangladesh by 131 runs. The southpaw scored 50 runs in 49 balls before picking two wickets for only 11 runs in his spell of five overs.
Abhishek Sharma made his India debut earlier this month in Zimbabwe in the T20I series. In his second outing, the opener blasted a 46-ball century, the third-fastest by an Indian in T20Is. He has, however, not been selected for the T20I series against Sri Lanka.
