[Watch] Angry Azam Khan gives a death stare to a fan in the crowd after getting out for golden duck vs USA

Azam Khan got out for a golden duck against the USA by spinner Nosthush Kenjige.

Among the Pakistani players who expressed their emotions of frustration, exasperation and anger amid their disappointing show against the USA, one of them was Azam Khan, who had an angry stare down at a fan in the crowd.

The Babar Azam-led Pakistan suffered a shock loss to the USA on Thursday in their ICC T20 World Cup 2024 encounter at the Grand Prairie Stadium, Dallas.

USA had defeated Canada in their first match of the tournament. But, emerging victorious against Pakistan was not something many had expected from the co-hosts. The match went down to the wire with USA levelling Pakistan’s total of 159 in the regular time.

In the Super Over then, Mohammad Amir and the Pakistan fielders fumbled as they conceded 18 runs. Saurabh Netravalkar bowled brilliantly to concede only 13 runs in the Super Over while defending 19 runs against the likes of Iftikhar Ahmed and Shadab Khan to seal what is being hailed as the greatest and most memorable win in the cricket history of the USA.

Azam Khan shows anger at a fan in the crowd

During the match, there was a heated moment between wicket-keeper batsman Azam Khan and a fan in the crowd that led to the cricketer giving a death stare to the fan after the right-hander bagged the golden duck.

Azam was dismissed for a first-ball duck by left-arm spinner Nosthush Kenjige. It was an arm ball from Kenjige that slid into Azam, who tried to defend with his feet stuck at the crease. Khan went for a review but to no avail as the ball was crashing into the stumps.

As Azam walked toward the dressing room, he had an altercation with a fan in the crowd. It is not yet known whether the fan taunted and teased the Pakistani wicket-keeper, who looked furious. Before going into the dressing room, Azam waved his hand and uttered a few words toward the fan.
