AUS vs ENG: Day 4 session timings for Adelaide test, The Ashes 2025-26

Australia, who lead the Ashes 2025-26 by 2-0, look favourites to win the third AUS vs ENG test at Adelaide Oval in Adelaide.

Australia have taken the command of the third test of Ashes 2025-26. They are looking set for another win and now it will be up to England how they bat in the second innings. The visitors’ win in the Adelaide test seems very difficult now and the best they could do is to draw the game. 

In response to Australia’s 371 in the first innings, England managed just 286. Captain Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer continued their good form with the bat on day three but couldn’t bat long and allowed Australia to take the lead.

Ben Stokes played an innings of 83 runs off 198 balls, while Jofra Archer slammed his maiden half-century, scoring 51. The duo added 106 runs together, making sure that England reduce the deficit to under 100.

But Australia’s batting performance in the second innings took the game away from England. Travis Head, opening the innings, slammed an unbeaten 142 despite the hosts losing wickets at the other end. 

Head didn’t let Australia come under pressure and got support from Usman Khawaja (40), adding 86 runs for the third wicket. Then at the fag end of the innings, Alex Carey (52*) hit a vital fifty. He along with Head stitched an unbeaten 122 as Australia ended the day three on a high.

At stumps on day three,  Australia were 271 for four with a lead of 356. They would be keen to take that past 400 runs and then put England under pressure.

The fourth day of the third AUS vs ENG test will begin at 5:00 AM IST, with the first session ending at 7:00 AM. There will be a 40-minute break after that. The second session will run from 7:40 AM to 9:40 AM and there will be a 20-minute tea break after that. The last session will be played from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. There is 30 minute extra time to cover the daily quota of overs.

1st session: 5:00 AM to 7:00 AM (IST) | 11:30 AM to 1:30 AM (GMT) | 10 AM to 12:00 PM (Local Time)

Lunch Break: 7:00 AM to 7:40 AM (IST) | 1:30 AM to 2:10 AM (GMT) | 12:00 PM to 12:40 PM (Local Time)

2nd session: 7:40 AM to 9:40 AM (IST) | 2:10 AM to 4:10 AM (GMT) | 12:40 PM to 2:40 PM (Local Time)

Tea Break: 9:40 PM to 10 AM (IST) | 4:10 AM to 4:30 AM (GMT) | 2:40 PM to 3 PM (Local Time)

3rd session: 10 AM to 12 AM (IST) | 4:30 AM to 6:30 AM (GMT) | 3 PM to 5 PM (Local Time)

Half-hour extension: 12:00 AM to 12:30 AM (IST) | 6:30 AM to 7:00 AM (GMT) | 5 PM to 5:30 PM (Local Time)
