[Watch] Axar Patel scripts perfect revenge, dismisses Ishan Kishan right after being hit for a 6

Ishan Kishan made 42 off 23 balls before getting caught and bowled by Axar Patel.

On Sunday, April 7, Delhi Capitals spinner Axar Patel dismissed Ishan Kishan with a spectacular one-handed catch at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai during the ongoing IPL 2024 battle against the Mumbai Indians (MI).

The Delhi Capitals’ (DC) captain, Rishabh Pant, won the toss and chose to bowl first. DC made two changes to the starting lineup: Jhye Richardson replaced the injured Mitchell Marsh, and Lalit Yadav replaced Rasikh Salam Dar.

MI, on the other hand, have made certain changes as well to their side. Suryakumar Yadav replaced Naman Dhir on the team. Romario Shepherd came over for Kwena Maphaka, while Mohammad Nabi replaced Dewald Brevis.

Axar Patel’s brilliant revenge after Ishan Kishan smacked him for a six

Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma opened the innings for MI and demolished the DC bowling lineup. They added 80 runs for the first wicket with Rohit Sharma scoring 49 with three sixes and six fours in his knock. He was clean bowled by Axar Patel who ended what seemed a dangerous knock by former MI captain.

However, Ishan Kishan looked set for a big one and was taking on the DC bowlers, hitting Anrich Nortje for a huge six. He then welcomed Axar Patel in the 11th over with a six off the first ball he bowled to the left-hander.

Axar then bowled the next ball flatter on the off-stump and Kishan tried to hammer the ball past the bowler’s left hand. However, Akshar, a great fielder, extended his left hand and snagged the ball for a remarkable catch, leaving even Kishan awestruck.

This ended Ishan’s knock on 42 in 23 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes.
