62 overseas players were sold at the IPL 2025 mega auction.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction was a exciting event spanning across two days, on November 24 and 25, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

India’s Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer, and Venkatesh Iyer emerged as the three highest earners at the mega auction. Pant and Iyer broke Mitchell Starc’s last year’s record of the most expensive player.

Pant was bought for INR 27 crores by Lucknow Super Giants and Shreyas for INR 26.75 crores by Punjab Kings. Kolkata Knight Riders roped back Venkatesh Iyer for INR 23.75 crores.

How many Bangladesh players were sold at IPL 2025 mega auction?

A total of 182 players were sold at the IPL 2025 mega auction. Out of these 62 were overseas, but none of them was from Bangladesh. Hundreds of players went under the hammer at the IPL 2025 mega auction, but only a few were from Bangladesh and even they didn’t get any bidders.

At the moment, there will be no representation from Bangladesh in IPL 2025. However, the ones who were not picked up in the mega auction could be brought in as a replacement player if a franchise requires.

Out of the 12 Bangladeshi players, who had been shortlisted for the IPL 2025 mega auction, only two of them were brought up as the franchises didn’t named the other 10 players in their interested players’ list. Those two also didn’t find any buyers.

2. Mustafizur Rahman (Base price – 2 crore) – Mustafizur’s name came up in the auction, but he went unsold
3. Shakib Al Hasan – name didn’t come up in the auction
4. Liton Das – name didn’t come up in the auction
5. Towhid Hridoy – name didn’t come up in the auction
6. Taskin Ahmed – name didn’t come up in the auction
7. Mehidy Hasan Miraz – name didn’t come up in the auction
8. Shoriful Islam – name didn’t come up in the auction
9. Tanzim Hasan Sakid – name didn’t come up in the auction
10. Mahedi Hasan – name didn’t come up in the auction
11. Hasan Mahmud – name didn’t come up in the auction
12. Nahid Rana – name didn’t come up in the auction
