Bangladesh schedule for ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024 - Timings, dates, venues and all you need to know

Bangladesh will play the opening match of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 against Scotland.

The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 will be hosted in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from October 3 to October 20. Australia are the defending champions of the mega ICC women’s event.

Initially, Bangladesh had hosting rights for the upcoming women’s ICC event, but due to nationwide protests in the country, the ICC decided to shift the tournament to the UAE. The Bangladesh Cricket Board, though, has retained the hosting rights of the tournament.

10 nations will take part in the marquee tournament. These 10 teams have been divided into two groups of five each. Each team will play four matches in the group stage. The top two sides from each group will proceed to the semi-finals. The winner of both semi-finals will face each other in the final.

Hosts Bangladesh are slotted in Group B along with South Africa, England, West Indies and Scotland. Bangladesh have never won the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. Bangladesh will be looking to put on a good show in the upcoming global tournament.

Bangladesh schedule for ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024:

Bangladesh will kick off the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 on October 3 against Scotland in Sharjah. They will then face England on October 5 at the same venue.

Their third group stage match will be against the West Indies in Sharjah on October 10. Bangladesh’s final league stage match is against South Africa on October 12 in Dubai.
