Several batters have made a mark with their consistent performances in the IPL over the years.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) has witnessed extraordinary performances by quite a few batters over the years. However, only a few of them have grabbed the spotlight with their consistency. By crossing the 500-run mark in multiple seasons, these batsmen have showed their class, temperament, and dominance.

While many batsmen have scored 500-plus runs in more than one season in the IPL, only three have achieved this triumph more than five times. In this listicle, we take a glance at the top three batters with 500+ runs in most IPL seasons.

3. David Warner – 7

Although David Warner is not active in IPL now, he is one of the best overseas batters to ever play in the tournament. The explosive left-hander has also been one of the most destructive overseas batters the league has ever seen.

The former Australian opener has scored 500+ runs in seven IPL seasons. With 6565 runs, Warner is the fourth highest run-scorer in IPL history. In the 2016 edition, Warner came up with his best performance with the bat, finishing with 848 runs.

2. KL Rahul- 8

KL Rahul has established himself as one of the most consistent batters in the IPL over the years. Rahul is the all-time fifth highest run-scorer in the tournament. He has played for different teams and currently represents Delhi Capitals.

Rahul has crossed the 500-run mark in eight IPL seasons. The right-handed batsman has piled up more than 600 runs in four seasons, with his best show being 670 runs in IPL 2020.

1. Virat Kohli – 9

Virat Kohli steals the top spot on this list as he has crossed the 500-run mark in nine seasons. With more than 9000 runs, the right-handed batsman is the all-time leading run-scorer in the tournament. Kohli’s consistent performances have made him one of the greatest batters in IPL history.

He has represented RCB since his debut in 2008 and crossed 500 runs for the first time in the 2011 season. In IPL 2016, Virat piled up 973 runs, which is still the record for most runs scored by a batter in a single edition.
