The right-handed batsman has scored 913 runs in 15 innings at an average of 48.10 since 2025, smacking four centuries and three half-centuries in the process. Due to his brilliant form over the last year, he was recently appointed as the vice-captain of India in tests, replacing Rishabh Pant.

4. Harry Brook- 953 runs

Harry Brook has rocked the field with his batting over the last one-and-a-half years. Since 2025, he has piled up 953 runs in 16 innings at an average of 45.40. The England batter has also hammered two centuries and six half-centuries. Both of his centuries came in the test series against India last year, where he was also adjudged Player of the Series.

Former England captain Joe Root is one of the legends in test cricket, who is the all-time second-highest run-scorer in the tournament. Last year, he scored 805 runs in 18 innings at an average of 50.31. This also includes four centuries and one fifty. Since 2025, he has mustered 980 runs in 20 games at an average of 49.0, with the help of five tons and one fifty.

Australian batting legend Travis Head has been in fabulous form in the longest format since last year. With 1009 runs in 22 innings at an average of 45.90, he has impressed with his performance.
