BBL 2023-24: Points table, most runs, most wickets, after Match 39 SCO vs SIX

Sydney Sixers defeated Perth Scorchers by three wickets in BBL 2023-24.

It was a nail-biting finish at the Optus Stadium, Moises Henriques resilience at the end took Sydney Sixers to a comfortable position in BBL 2023-24 points table. Henriques 20 ball 47 runs cameo took Sixers amidst a collapse in the final two overs. Perth Scorchers Jason Behrendorff bowled a magnificent penultimate over and provided Perth a chance for a comeback. Behrendorff picked up three wickets in his four over spell. Sixers lose four wickets in six deliveries at the end of their innings.

Perth Scorchers posted 197 runs in 20 overs, Laurie Evans (72) and Cooper Connolly (37*) played brilliant knocks to give Perth an edge. Sydney Sixers opener Daniel Hughes efforts paid off nicely as he gave Sixers a great start along with James Vince (22). Wicket-keeper batter Josh Philippe (32) also played a useful hand for Sixers. All-rounder Moises Henriques smashed 47 runs in 20 balls with four fours and three sixes. Henriques stood firm on his ground and took Sixers home amidst the chaos.

BBL 2023-24: Points Table

Sydney Sixers have won the battle against Perth Scorchers and have finished second in the BBL 2023-24 points table. With two more points added after a win, Sixers finish the league stage with 14 points in 10 games. They also fix their battle against Brisbane Heat in the qualifier game on Friday night. Perth Scorchers will finish third in the table with 13 points in 10 games and they will be taking on Adelaide Strikers in the knockout game on Saturday night. Sydney Thunder finish at the bottom of the table.

BBL 2023-24: Most Runs

It will be really tough to chase Adelaide Strikers captain Mathew Short in the leading run-scorer chart. Mathew Short is currently leading the top run-scorer chart with 509 runs. Perth Scorchers Aaron Hardie has jumped up to second place with 328 runs. Hardie scored 32 against Sydney Sixers. Strikers’ Chris Lynn is third on the table with 304 runs. Perth Scorchers Laurie Evans played a magnificent 72 runs knock against Sixers, he is fourth in the list with 292 runs. Melbourne Stars opener Beau Webster is at fifth place with 262 runs.

Perth Scorchers’ Jason Behrendorff is third with 13 wickets in seven games. Jason Behrendorff picked up three wicket against Sydney Sixers and provided them an outside chance. While Lance Morris failed to get any success in the game. Perth Scorchers Lance Morris is fourth on the list with 13 wickets. Brisbane Heat’s Paul Walter is fifth with 13 wickets.
