Jasprit Bumrah has taken the most wickets in the BGT 2024-25.

Jasprit Bumrah has delivered once again for India under pressure, ass has been the case throughout the series. India made a strong comeback to keep themselves alive in the Boxing Day test.

Starting the day at 358/9, India added 11 runs to their overnight score to get bowled out for 369 runs in the first innings. Nitish Kumar Reddy starred for India with his maiden test century, while Washington Sundar and Yashasvi Jaiswal contributed with valuable half-centuries.

With a 105-run lead, the Australian batting lineup collapsed in the first innings, losing half of their side for under 100 runs. Jasprit Bumrah started the proceedings for the visitors, dismissing Sam Konstas for seven runs, while Mohammed Siraj made an impact in his comeback spell, removing Usman Khawaja and Steve Smith.

Bumrah then returned to tear through the Aussie middle order, dismissing Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh in quick succession. His most impressive wicket came when he dismissed Alex Carey, who got bowled while attempting a backfoot punch to an inswinger.

At the time of writing India have reduced Australia to 165/8, with captain Pat Cummins (34*) and Nathan Lyon (5*) at the crease. India will be hoping for strong batting performances from experienced players – Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli and will back themselves in an important chase.

India: Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, Ravindra Jadeja, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Washington Sundar, Akash Deep, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj.

Australia: Usman Khawaja, Sam Konstas, Marnus Labuschagne, Steve Smith, Travis Head, Mitchell Marsh, Alex Carey, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Nathan Lyon and Scott Boland.
