Jasprit Bumrah has dismissed Travis Head three times in the ongoing BGT 2024-25.

The fourth Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2024-25 test in Melbourne hangs in balance with India making a remarkable comeback in the third session of day 1.

Batting first, Australia started the game on the front foot with Usman Khawaja and Sam Konstas adding 89 runs for the opening stand. Making his test debut in front of a packed Boxing Day crowd at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), the 19-year-old made 60 runs off just 65 balls including six fours and two sixes.

Marnus Labuschagne, Usman Khawaja, and Steve Smith all scored half-centuries, taking Australia to 230/2 at one stage. However, Australia began to lose momentum when Marnus fell to Washington Sundar, attempting an aerial drive over mid-off.

Labuschagne’s dismissal brought the series’ highest run-scorer, Travis Head, to the crease. It was the perfect platform for Head, who came out against a tired Indian attack bowling with an old ball.

However, the southpaw for a duck. Unlike previous occasions, India set a short-ball field against Head immediately, sowing doubts in his mind. The tactic worked as Head, expecting a bouncer, left a good-length delivery from Bumrah and it hit the top of the off-stump.
