CPL 2024 schedule announced; To be played from 29th August to 6th October

A total of six venues will host the CPL 2024.
On Wednesday, April 10, Cricket West Indies (CWI) announced schedule for the next edition of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2024. The tournament will begin on August 29 with a match between new entrants Antigua and Barbuda Falcons (ABF) and St Kitts & Nevis Patriots. ABF replaced the 2022 edition winners Jamaica Tallawahs in the six-team tournament for the 2024 edition.
Talking about the previous edition, Guyana Amazon Warriors (GAW) trumped Trinbago Knight Riders by nine wickets in the final to win the title. The last edition’s winners, GAW will begin their campaign this season against the new entrants ABF on August 30 at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, Antigua.
The entire tournament will be played across six venues from August 29 to October 6, when the final is slated to be played at the Guyana National Stadium, Providence.
CPL 2024 full schedule unveiled
A total of 34 matches will be played in the upcoming 13th edition of the CPL. Each of the six teams will play a total of 10 league matches. The top four sides will directly qualify for the playoffs. The playoffs will get underway from October 1.
All four playoff matches – Eliminator, Qualifier 1, Qualifier 2 and Final – are scheduled to be played at the Guyana National Stadium, Providence.
How many venues are allotted to host CPL 2024?
A total of six venues will hosts the upcoming 12th edition of the CPL. Barbados, Guyana, St Kitts & Nevis, Saint Lucia, Trinidad & Tobago; and Antigua and Barbuda are the venues for 2024 edition.
How many matches each venue will host in CPL 2024?
1. Antigua – 5 games
2. ST Kitts – 5 games
3. Barbados – 4 games
4. ST Lucia – 4 games
5. Trinidad – 5 games
6. Guyana – 11 games
CPL 2024 match timings:
1. 7:00 P.M. (Local Time) and 3:30 A.M. (IST).
2. 10:00 A.M. (Local Time) and 6:30 P.M. (IST).
