PSL 2026: David Warner, Adam Zampa & two others players released from Karachi Kings squad; Know why

Karachi Kings have made a fabulous start in Pakistan Super League 2026 by winning three games in a row. The David Warner & Co. defeated Quetta Gladiators in their opening game by 14 runs. They piled up 181/7 in the first innings and restricted the opposition at 167/7.

Later, they outplayed Lahore Qalandars in a low-scoring clash. Lahore posted 128/9 in the first innings. With Muhammad Waseem’s crucial knock, Kings chased the target in the final over.

In their third game, Karachi chased down a 198-run total against Rawalpindiz. Bowling first, they halted Rawalpindiz at 197/6 and chased down the target by five wickets. Warner and Azam Khan played a crucial role in the victory with their half-centuries. Karachi will next clash with Peshawar Zalmi on April 9.

David Warner, Adam Zampa given a break by Karachi Kings midway in PSL 2026

The franchise have given a short break to four players ahead of their next encounter. David Warner, Adam Zampa, Azam Khan, and Hasan Ali have been released from the squad and will join back ahead of the next encounter.

All of them have been given a break for personal reasons. Warner will spend time with his family. Zampa will go on a vacation, while Ali will attend a family function.

After three wins in a row, Karachi grab the top spot in the PSL 2026 points table with six points. They are followed by Multan Sultans in the second spot.

With 102 runs, Azam Khan is the highest run-scorer for the team, followed by Warner with 93 runs. Hasan Ali is the leading wicket-taker of the tournament with eight wickets.
