David Warner took a running catch of Sri Lankan skipper Kusal Mendis.
Australia are taking on Sri Lanka at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow for the 14th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. Australia and Sri Lanka, both are coming off two consecutive losses, and are determined to secure their first win in the tournament.
Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to bat first, aiming to set a challenging target. Pathum Nissanka and Kusal Perera gave Sri Lanka a strong start, with Nissanka scoring 61 runs from 67 balls and Perera crafting a remarkable 78 from 82 balls. Things were looking promising for Sri Lanka.

However, the turning point came when Kusal Mendis, who was leading Sri Lankan side in this game, walked on the crease. He attempted to take on Australian bowler Adam Zampa but had to return back to the pavillion after an exceptional moment of brilliance from David Warner.
Warner, stationed at fine square leg, shocked everyone with his sheer athleticism. He sprinted towards the ball and then, with a breath-taking dive to his left, and caught the ball to send Kusal Mendis back to the pavilion for a mere nine runs.

Warner earlier in the innings took the catch of Nissanka to break the 125-runs partnership. Warner has been brilliant on the field with already taking two amazing catches.
