Delhi Capitals (DC) have emerged as a strong unit after the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 mega auction. The Capitals entered the auction with a settled core of five retained players that includes Jemimah Rodrigues, Shafali Verma, Annabel Sutherland, Marizanne Kapp, and the young Niki Prasad.
At the WPL 2026 auction, the DC bagged the star of the recently-concluded ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025, Laura Wolvaardt. The South African skipper was acquired for a price of 1.10 crores. Another player who burst onto the scene was India’s young spin sensation Shree Charani. She was one of the most expensive buys for the three-time finalists in the WPL 2026 mega auction.
Other important inclusions are power hitter from West Indies, Chinelle Henry and the experienced Indian off-spinner Sneh Rana. Henry got 1.30 crores while Rana was picked for 50 lakhs.
