Duleep Trophy 2024-25 was played between four teams from September 5 to 22.
The Duleep Trophy 2024 was played from September 5 to September 22 in Bengaluru and Anantapur. A total of six matches were played in this year’s elite Indian domestic tournament. The competition witnessed several top Indian players like KL Rahul, Shubman, Ishan Kishan, Rishabh Pant, and many more.
This time BCCI opted for a four-team format, with teams named A, B, C and D. The elite domestic tournament was played in a round-robin format without any knockout matches.
The side that had most points at the end of all matches was crowned champions. The first round of Duleep Trophy 2024 was played from September 5 to September 8 in Bengaluru and Anantapur.
The second round was played from September 12 to September 15, and the final round was played from September 19 to September 22. The last two rounds of Duleep Trophy 2024-25 were played in Anantapur.
Who won the Duleep Trophy 2024 tournament?
After the conclusion of the third round of Duleep Trophy 2024-25, India A were crowned as champions of the tournament on September 22. India A topped the points table with 12 points to their name. The side won two matches out of three they played.
In the first round of the tournament, India A suffered a comprehensive defeat by 76 runs at the hands of India B. In the second round, India A crushed India D by 186 runs.
In the third round, India A defeated India C by 132 runs, which helped them clinch the four-team domestic tournament.
Who are the top performers with the bat and ball for Duleep Trophy 2024-25 champions India A?
Shashwat Rawat scored most runs for India A. The 23-year-old scored 256 runs in two matches at an impressive average of 85.33.
With ball, off-spinner Tanush Kotian scalped most wickets for India A. The youngster took 10 wickets in three matches.
