Duleep Trophy 2024-25: Most runs, most wickets after round 2

India A defeated India D in round 2 of the ongoing Duleep Trophy 2024 tournament.
After suffering a defeat in round 1 against India B of the ongoing Duleep Trophy 2024, India A bounced back in style to hammer India D by 186 runs in round 2 in Anantapur.
After being asked to bat first, India A all-rounders Shams Mulani (89) and Tanush Kotian (53) played crucial knocks and helped their side reach a respectable total of 290 runs in the first innings. India D speedster Harshit Rana picked up four wickets.
In India D’s first innings, left-handed batter Devdutt Padikkal played a fighting knock of 92 runs as his side got bundled for 183 runs. India A speedsters Khaleel Ahmed and Aaqib Khan took three wickets apiece.
In the second innings of India A, opener Pratham Singh (122) and Tilak Varma (111*) cracked centuries as they set a huge target of 487 runs for India D.
While chasing, India D batter Ricky Bhui played a fighting knock of 113 runs off 195 deliveries. But his innings went in vain as his got was bowled out for 301 runs. India D lost the match by 186 runs. India A off-spinner Tanush Kotian took four wickets to help his side register the much-needed win.
What happened in the India C vs India B clash?
The fourth match of the ongoing Duleep Trophy 2024 was between India B and India C and it ended in a draw at the Rural Development Trust Stadium B, Anantapur.
Star wicket-keeper batter Ishan Kishan (111 off 126 balls) made a brilliant century for India C as his side scored 525 runs in the first innings. For India B, pacer Mukesh Kumar and spinner Rahul Chahar bagged four wickets each.
In reply, India B captain Abhimanyu Easwaran played an unbeaten knock of 157 runs, which helped his side put up 332 runs in their first innings. For India C, Anshul Kamboj bagged eight wickets in the innings.
In the second innings of India C, Ruturaj Gaikwad 50 (73) and Rajat Patidar 35 (75) helped their side gain the lead by 292 runs but there was no more time left and the match was drawn after the conclusion of day 4.
Duleep Trophy 2024: Most Runs
After the end of round 2 in the Duleep Trophy 2024 tournament, India D batter Ricky Bhui is the leading run-getter with 184 runs in two matches.
India B’s Musheer Khan is at second position with 182 runs. India B captain Abhimanyu Easwaran is placed third with 174 runs.
India C skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad is placed fourth with 171 runs. Ruturaj’s teammate Baba Indrajith is at the fifth position with 162 runs.

Duleep Trophy 2024: Most wickets
India C pacer Anshul Kamboj is at the top of the wicket-takers’ chart with 11 wickets to his name after the end of round 2 of the ongoing Duleep Trophy. India B pacer Mukesh Kumar is placed second with 10 wickets.
India A speedster Akash Deep is third with nine wickets that he took in the first round. Akash missed the second round as he has been selected in the Indian cricket team squad for the first match of the two-match test series against Bangladesh.
India A left-arm seamer Khaleel Ahmed finds himself at fourth position with nine scalps. India D right-arm pacer Harshit Rana is fifth with eight wickets.
