"Ghante ka king" Fans troll Babar Azam brutally after duck in 1st test against Bangladesh
Babar Azam registered his eighth duck in test cricket.
Former Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam got brutally trolled on social media handle after he was dismissed for a two-ball duck in the opening fixture of the two-match test series against Bangladesh on Wednesday, August 21. The first test match is being played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
After being asked to bat first, Pakistan had a poor start as Bangladesh pacers dismissed three batters in the first nine overs of the innings.
The first wicket of the hosts fell in the fourth over when Hasan Mahmud dismissed Abdullah Shafique for just two runs. Shoriful Islam then removed captain Shan Masood for just six runs. To make things worse for the hosts, Shoriful then dismissed Babar for a two-ball duck as the hosts slumped to 16-3.
In the ninth over of Pakistan’s first innings, Shoriful bowled a back-of-a-length ball on the leg stump to Babar.
The right-handed batter, who was in his trigger movement, attempted to guide the ball towards the leg side. The ball kissed the bat and wicket-keeper Liton Das dived towards his left to take a stunning one-handed catch. Babar was gone for a duck.
Babar is going through a rough patch in test cricket. The right-handed batter hasn’t hit any fifty in the last 10 innings so far.
After his unlucky dismissal, fans brutally trolled Babar on social media as he failed to deliver for his side in the first innings of the ongoing first test match against Bangladesh in Rawalpindi.
