Gautam Gambhir takes a dig at Australia after controversial Jonny Bairstow run-out

Former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir slammed Australia over Jonny Bairstow's controversial run out.
England and Australia produced yet another thrilling encounter in the second game of the ongoing five-match series at Lord's. The final day of the game was full of twists and turns. But eventually, it were the Australian team that came out victorious by 41 runs after a hard-fought battle. The English captain Ben Stokes played one of the most impactful innings in the fourth innings of a test match and posted the highest score by an English captain in the fourth innings of an Ashes Test.
He scored 155 off 214 balls, with nine fours and nine sixes, and took his team close to the target. Stokes didn't get much support from any other batters, and England collapsed like a pack of cards after he got out. However, on the final day, one controversial run out also took place when Jonny Bairstow was run out by Australian wicket-keeper Alex Carey. Bairstow was straying out of his crease after leaving a bouncer from Cameron Green.

The incident took place on the last ball of the 52nd over. Green bowled a bouncer, and Bairstow ducked under the ball and left his crease after tapping on the line. Carey saw the opportunity and hit the stumps, and the Australians appealed for it. Later, the third umpire gave it out, and it sparked outrage afterward. The English crowd booed the Australian players during the first session.
Later, Usman Khawaja and David Warner were also involved in an exchange of words with some MCC members while returning to their dugout for lunch. Many former cricketers and cricket pundits called Australia's action against the "spirit of the game." Former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir also slammed the Australian team and posted a cryptic post on his Twitter account. He wrote, "Hey sledgers….does spirit of the game logic apply to u or is it just for Indians?"
Bairstow's dismissal brought Stuart Broad to the crease. He fired at Carey and said, "That’s all you’ll ever be remembered for that." Broad was unhappy with the dismissal and also told Pat Cummins, "That’s the worst thing I’ve ever seen in cricket." The Visitors complained about the altercation with the MCC members and asked for an investigation. MCC suspended three of their members who were involved in it and issued an apology to the Australian team.
