Gujarat Titans full squad for IPL 2024 after auction

Shubman Gill will lead Gujarat Titans in the upcoming IPL 2024.

In the group stage of IPL 2023, Gujarat Titans showcased exceptional performance by winning 10 out of the 14 league matches, securing the top position. Despite facing a setback in qualifier 1 against Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Titans made a strong comeback in qualifier 2 against Mumbai Indians (MI), clinching a thrilling victory and earning a spot in the finals. However, in the final match against CSK, despite a closely contested battle that went till the last ball, Titans fell short and lost by 5 wickets (DLS), missing the chance for back-to-back IPL titles.

Before the auction, Titans traded their captain, Hardik Pandya, to Mumbai Indians. Following this, Gujarat Titans announced Shubman Gill as their new captain, indicating a strategic shift in leadership ahead of the upcoming season.

Gujarat Titans have retained a total of 17 players from the previous season as they gear up for the 2024 campaign, aiming to secure the title after falling short in the finals last season. Among the retained Indian players are Shubman Gill, Wriddhiman Saha, Abhinav Manohar, B. Sai Sudharsan, Darshan Nalkande, Vijay Shankar, Jayant Yadav, Rahul Tewatia, Mohammed Shami, R. Sai Kishore, and Mohit Sharma.

On the overseas front, they have retained David Miller of South Africa, Kane Williamson of New Zealand, Matthew Wade of Australia, Rashid Khan of Afghanistan, Noor Ahmad of Afghanistan, and Joshua Little of Ireland. Titans aim to build on their past success and secure the coveted title in the upcoming season.
