Yuzvendra Chahal picked over 100 wickets in IPL for his old team RCB.

Yuzvendra Chahal, former Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) spinner, was heard allegedly mocking the bowling line-up of his old franchise. Chahal was a mainstay for RCB over years and picked over 100 wickets for them.

Chahal was expected to be retained by RCB franchise ahead of the mega auction before IPL 2022. However, much to his dismay, the franchise moved on from him and Chahal claimed in an interview that he didn’t even receive a call from Royal Challengers Bangalore management about not being retained.

In IPL 2022 auction, Chahal was bought by Rajasthan Royals and he helped his new franchise reach the finals of the tournament. He also earned the purple cap in his debut season for RR. Since then, Chahal has become the all-time highest wicket-taker in IPL history going past Lasith Malinga.

However, since parting ways with RCB, Chahal’s India career has seen a steep decline. On the other hand, the three-time IPL finalists have also not fared well in recent times and had a dismal IPL mini-auction last month.

RCB had released their best bowlers Harshal Patel, Wanindu Hasaranga, and Josh Hazlewood. And then in the auction, RCB went all out for Alzarri Joseph and secured him for ₹11.50 crore and also had to stellar deal as they got Lockie Ferguson at his base price in the final stages of the auction. In their spin attack, RCB only have Karn Sharma and Mayank Dagar as credible options.

Appearing on a gaming stream playing the popular online game Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), Yuzvendra Chahal was asked by his teammate about the RCB bowling attack post the auction.

Chahal replied ‘Moye moye’ The term, originating from a Serbian song, has been used extensively in online memes of late, and it suggests that something is in a sad state.
