"Not insulting anyone.." Harbhajan Singh issues clarification and apology after criticism on Instagram reel

Harbhajan Singh was part of the India Champions team who won the WCL 2024 by defeating Pakistan in the final.
Harbhajan Singh, former India spinner, has apologized after receiving massive criticism for a reel he shared on Instagram after India champions won the World Championship of Legend (WCL) in England on Saturday.
The video showed Harbhajan Singh, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina and other players showing the wear and tear on their bodies after playing for 15-20 days in WCL.
Yuvraj, Raina, Harbhajan, and Gurkeerat Singh were seen limping in the video. The seasoned Indian players brought a new twist to the trending song âTauba-Taubaâ craze by appearing to be limping after 15 days of tough cricket action.
âBody ki Tauba Tauba ho Gayi in 15 days legends cricket. Every part of the body is sore,â Harbhajan wrote as he tagged Vicky Kaushal and Karan Aujla, the original songâs actor and singer, on the post.
However, the message did not sit well with para-badminton player Manasi Joshi, who chastised the players and advised them not to ridicule those who are physically disadvantaged.
âWanted more responsibility from the stars that you all are, please do not mock at the gait patterns of people with disabilities. This isnât funny.,â Mansi commented on the Instagram post.
âIâm really disappointed in you @harbhajan3 @sureshraina3 and all the people in the comments section who are appropriating this reel,â Manasi added.
Harbhajan Singh issues apology and clarification on the reel
After receiving criticism from the para-badminton player, Harbhajan Singh has come forward and issued an apology for the same. He also clarified what the video was about. He said that the players didnât want to hurt anyone.
âJust wanted to clear to our people who are complaining about our recent videos of Tauba Tauba on social media after winning the championship here in England. We didnât want to hurt anyoneâs sentiments. We respect every individual and community. And this video was just to reflect to our bodies after playing continues cricket for 15 days. SORE bodies.. were not trying to insult or offend anyone.. still if people think we hv done something wrong. All I can say from my side is SORRY to everyone⌠piz letâs stop this here and move forward. Stay happy and healthy. Love to all. Regards,â Harbhajan posted on his social media.
