Hardik Pandya took a stunning catch of Rishad Hossain in the second IND vs BAN T20I.

Following on from the victory in the first T20I in Gwalior, in the 2nd IND vs BAN T20I in Delhi, India sealed the series with one game to go.

Nitish Reddy was the star of the show in Delhi as he produced a terrific all-round performance. Reddy thumped a half-century before taking two wickets as India clinched the win by 86 runs.

Apart from Reddy and Rinku Singh’s batting, fans got to witness another special moment in the game, courtesy of Hardik Pandya.

Hardik Pandya produced a moment with a spectacular grab that left the crowd in awe. It was the 14th over of Bangladesh’s innings, when Rishad Hossain looked to break free by playing a powerful aerial stroke towards deep mid-wicket off Varun Chakaravarthy.

Although the connection off the bat was not good, the ball seemed to be landing between the two converging fielders. But, Pandya, sprinting across the boundary line, covered a fair amount of ground before diving full stretch to complete the stunning catch.

India showcased their dominance in the second T20I against Bangladesh, posting a commanding total of 221 runs. Reddy led the charge with a blistering 74, while Rinku Singh (53) and Pandya (32) played crucial supporting roles.

Bangladesh, chasing the daunting target, struggled to keep up as Indian bowlers put early pressure. Varun Chakravarthy starred with the ball, adding two wickets to his tally and guided India to a convincing win.

Player of the Match Nitish Reddy said, “Feels great to represent India, feel so proud about this moment. Grateful for everything. I should give credit to captain and coach. They gave me the licence to play fearless cricket. I took my time initially, but after that no-ball everything went in my favour. It feels great to play for the Indian team. I want to continue in this same way. Want to keep repeat such good performances.”

The third T20I will be played on Saturday in Hyderabad.
