[Watch] Hardik Pandya reunites with former teammates before GT vs MI IPL 2024 clash

All-rounder Hardik Pandya won the IPL 2022 for Gujarat Titans as captain.

Gujarat Titans (GT) and Mumbai Indians (MI) will witness a huge change in the ongoing IPL 2024 season. All-rounder Hardik Pandya made a big move through trade deal and joined his old franchise MI and then got appointed as captain. Pandya was a successful skipper for GT who made their entry into the tournament two years back. Pandya successfully led Titans to two back-to-back finals and ended up winning the first season in 2022.

MI appointed Hardik Pandya as captain of the side soon after he rejoined the side. While Shubman Gill replaced Pandya as GT’s captain. MI and GT fans were uncomfortable with this move as everyone was in a bit of shock. Mumbai and Gujarat will play their opening clash against each other at Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, March 24th.

Current MI captain Pandya met his old teammates during a practice session at Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium ahead of their season opener. Both sides were preparing for their opening clash on Sunday and Pandya moved towards GT camp to greet everyone. In a video posted by Gujarat Titans official twitter handle, Pandya was spotted greeting his old teammates.

In a video posted by GT’s official twitter (now X) account, Pandya was seen hugging newly appointed GT captain Shubman Gill. He also had a bit of a fun chat with all-rounder Rahul Tewatia. Pandya also shared a good laugh with Jayant Yadav. Former MI skipper Rohit Sharma also greeted his Indian team opening partner Shubman Gill as seen in the video.

Rahman’s Vande Mataram and Jai Ho are still echoing at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chepauk, Chennai.
