Haris Rauf picked two wickets against Canada in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 match.

In match No. 22 of the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2024, right-arm pacer Haris Rauf achieved a career milestone as he became the second Pakistan bowler and overall 14th to pick 100 or more wickets in T20I cricket. Rauf achieved this feat during the Canada clash at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York on June 11.

After winning the toss and opting to field first, Pakistan bowlers bowled beautifully to restrict Canada to a modest total of 106/7 in 20 overs on a tricky New York pitch. Speedster Mohammad Amir and Haris Rauf scored two wickets. Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah bagged one wicket each.

For Canada, Aaron Johnson played a crucial knock of 52 runs. While chasing 107, Mohammad Rizwan (53*) and skipper Babar Azam (33) scored for the Men in Green as they won the must-win encounter by seven wickets to stay alive in the T20 World Cup 2024.

Rauf produced a stunning double-wicket 10th over when he removed Canada Movva (2) and Ravinderpal Singh (0).

The 30-year-old fast bowler also became the third fastest bowler to reach the 100-wicket mark in the shortest format. Among pacers, Rauf is the fastest player to achieve the feat.
