[Watch] KKR's Harshit Rana blows a kiss to send off SRH opener Mayank Agarwal in third match of IPL 2024

Mayank Agarwal smashed 32 runs before getting dismissed by Harshit Rana.
The third match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 saw a controversial moment when Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) pacer Harshit Rana blew a flying kiss to send off Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) opener Mayank Agarwal at the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata on March 23.
The incident happened during the second innings, when KKR right-arm speedster Rana did something unexpected after dismissing Agarwal. In sixth over of the SRH innings, Mayank tried to pull a shot ball, but he couldn’t control the shot as he was caught by Rinku Singh at the deep backward square leg.
Soon after the dismissal of the SRH opener, Rana went to Agarwal and gave him a flying kiss to send him off, and both players also exchanged a deadly stare towards each other as the batter went back towards SRH dugout. The right-handed batter smashed 32 runs off 21 runs, including four boundaries and one six during his stay.
Here is the viral video:
What happened in the first innings of KKR
In the first innings, KKR hard hitter Andre Russell struck a blazing half-century after explosive opener Phil Salt had set the foundation with a 40-ball 54 to help the hosts reach 208/7 in 20 overs and set the visitors a big target of 209.
Phil Salt, who went unsold in the auction and then came in as a replacement, struck three sixes off Marco Jansen in the third over but KKR lost three quick wickets to be at 32/3 in the powerplay.
KKR batter Salt went on to complete a well-compiled 54 runs but Russell had other ideas. The explosive batter Russell smashed seven maximums and three boundaries and changed the complexion of the match.
He and left-handed batter Rinku Singh stitch a partnership of 77 runs as two-time champions KKR managed to post over 200 runs against IPL 2016 champions SRH.
