[Watch] Heinrich Klaasen punches bat in anger after Rashid Khan clean bowls him for 24

Heinrich Klaasen smashed two sixes before Rashid Khan castled his stumps during GT vs SRH match.

In a dramatic turn of events, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) explosive batter Heinrich Klaasen faced a big challenge against Gujarat Titans‘ (GT) wily leg-spinner Rashid Khan in the match No. 12 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024.

Klaasen has been a vital asset for SRH so far in the ongoing IPL 2024. However, his patience was put to the test on a slow and tricky pitch at the Narendra Modi Stadium against GT on April 1. However, SRH top order crumbled early on, with both of their openers, Travis Head and Mayank Agarwal, departing early in the innings after opting to bat first.

All eyes were on SRH’s Klaasen to stabilize the innings, but Rashid had other ideas. In the 14th over of the first innings, Khan displayed his magic by outsmarting in-form batter Klaasen with a magical ball. The GT leg-spinner bowled a flatter delivery quick through air aimed at the stumps, and Klaasen attempted a swing across the line but failed to connect as the ball castled his stumps.

After this, Rashid celebrated his wicket by spreading his arms. While going back to the dugout, Klaasen was seen punching his bat angrily to take out his frustration after getting dismissed by Khan’s magic delivery.  Klaasen smashed 24 runs off 13 balls, including one boundary and two maximums, with an explosive strike rate of 184.62 during his stay at the crease.
