Rishabh Pant made his test debut against England in August 2018.

Indian wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant made his test debut against England in Nottingham in August 2018. Since making his debut, he has become one of India’s most successful test keeper-batters of all time and is a key cog in the middle order.

Since August 2018, Pant is India’s fourth-highest test run-scorer. And among keeper-batters who have played at least 10 tests for India, Pant’s average of 43 is the best.

The left-hander has produced several memorable innings, the most fondly remembered one is the 89* at the Gabba in 2021.

When everything was going well in Pant’s test career, Pant met with an unfortunate life-threatening car accident in December 2022. Thankfully, Pant survived the crash but was forced out of action for more than a year. He made his comeback in all three formats for India in 2024. His test comeback was completed in September 2024 with the home test series against Bangladesh.

In this article, we will take a look at Pant’s top five highest scores in test cricket.

Top five highest scores by Rishabh Pant in test cricket:

When India toured South Africa in 2021-22, Pant smashed a brilliant century in the third test match of the series in Cape Town.

In their first innings, India scored 223 and South Africa managed 210. In India’s second innings, Pant played a fighting knock of 100* off 139 deliveries, while none of his teammates scored more than 30 runs.

Pant’s century went in vain as South Africa chased down the target of 212 with seven wickets in hand.

The test ended in a draw. Pant played a crucial role in that series to help India register their first-ever test series victory in Australia.
