Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are one of the most successful franchises in the Indian Premier League (IPL) with three titles to their name – 2012, 2014, and 2024.
Over the years, the team has earned a reputation for their disciplined spin bowling attack, which includes lethal bowlers like Sunil Narine, Piyush Chawla, Kuldeep Yadav, and Varun Chakaravarthy, among others.

5. Manish Pandey – 94 vs Punjab Kings, 2014, Bengaluru
Manish Pandey played one of the most important innings in KKR’s history on June 1, 2014, against Punjab Kings in the IPL 2014 final in Bengaluru.
Chasing a target of 200, Kolkata were under pressure at 59/2, having lost the wickets of experienced batsmen Gautam Gambhir and Robin Uthappa. Pandey slammed 94 off 50 balls with the help of seven fours and six sixes to bring back the team in the run chase.
KKR won the final by three wickets and Pandey was named Player of the Match for his efforts.
4. Dinesh Karthik – 97* vs Rajasthan Royals, 2019, Kolkata
Dinesh Karthik played a captaincy innings against Rajasthan Royals in the 43rd match of the Indian Premier League 2019 season at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
Coming at No. 4, Dinesh led KKR with an unbeaten 97 off 50 balls, hitting seven fours and nine sixes. After losing a few early wickets, Karthik added 45 runs with Rinku Singh to help KKR post 175/6.
KKR eventually lost the game by three wickets with four balls to spare.
3. Venkatesh Iyer – 104 vs Mumbai Indians, 2023, Mumbai
Venkatesh Iyer ended the franchise’s 15-year century drought when he smashed 104 against Mumbai Indians during the 2023 edition.
Batting first, KKR posted a challenging total of 185/6 on the back of Iyer’s 104-run knock, which came off 51 balls and included six fours and nine sixes.
Despite his brilliance, Kolkata lost the game by five wickets and 14 balls to spare.
2. Sunil Narine – 109 vs Rajasthan Royals, 2024, Kolkata
Sunil Narine was at his best against Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2024 clash in Kolkata. Coming off good performances in the last few games, Narine slammed 109 off 56 balls to lead KKR to a huge total of 223 runs.
Narine’s destructive innings included 13 fours and six sixes. He was supported by KKR’s middle-order batters, who played small yet impactful knocks.
Narine’s knock was overshadowed by Jos Buttler’s unbeaten 107 in the second innings, which guided RR to a thrilling last-ball win.
1. Brendon McCullum – 158* vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru, 2008, Bengaluru
Legendary New Zealand opener Brendon McCullum holds the record for the highest individual score for Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL history. What makes this innings special is that it came in the inaugural game of the competition in Bengaluru in 2008.
Batting first, McCullum led the KKR fireworks with his 158-run knock, which came off 73 balls and included 10 fours and 13 sixes. His innings powered the team to a massive 222/3.
KKR won the game comfortably by 140 runs.
