ICC T20 World Cup 2024: Netherlands squad, schedule, timings, venues and all you need to know

Netherlands will kickoff their ICC T20 World Cup 2024 campaign on June 4.

Earlier this month, the Netherlands announced their 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2024. The marquee tournament will be jointly hosted by the West Indies and USA in June.

Wicket-keeper batter Scott Edwards, who led the Dutch side in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023, has been retained as their captain for the T20 World Cup 2024. However, the Dutch will be without the duo of Colin Ackermann and Roelof van der Merwe because of their county commitments.

The selectors have included opening batter Michael Levitt, speedster Kule Klein and left-arm spinner Tim Pringle for the T20 World Cup 2024.

Interestingly, three Indian-origin players – Vikramjit Singh, Teja Nidamanuru and Aryan Dutt – have found a place in the Dutch squad.

Netherlands full schedule for T20 World Cup 2024:

The Scott Edwards-led team are placed in Group D along with Nepal, South Africa, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

The Dutch will play their first league game against Nepal on June 4 and then take on South Africa on June 8. On June 13, the Netherlands will meet Bangladesh. Their final match will be against Sri Lanka on June 17.

• June 4: vs Nepal
• June 8: vs South Africa
• June 13: vs Bangladesh
• June 17: vs Sri Lanka

The Super 8 matches will be played from June 19 to 25.

At which venues will the Netherlands play their group-stage matches in the T20 World Cup 2024?

The Dutch will play their first two games on June 4 and June 8 in Dallas and New York respectively. The Edwards-led unit will then head to West Indies to play their remaining group matches on June 13 and June 17.

• June 13: vs Bangladesh, Arnos Vale Ground, Kingstown, St Vincent

What are the timings of Netherlands matches in T20 World Cup 2024?

Their first match against Nepal is scheduled at 9:00 PM IST / 3:30 PM GMT / 10:30 AM local time on June 4. The Netherlands vs South Africa clash will be played at 8:00 PM IST / 2:30 PM GMT / 9:30 AM local time on June 8.

Their third league match against Bangladesh is set to get underway at 8:00 PM IST / 2:30 PM GMT / 10:30 AM local time on June 13.

Their final group match against Sri Lanka will start at 6:00 AM / 12:30 AM GMT (June 17) / 8:30 PM local time (June 16).
