ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 updated points table after 3rd test, Pakistan vs England 2024

After the 2-1 series win over England, Pakistan are placed seventh in the latest ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 standings.

The Pakistan cricket team displayed a terrific performance in Rawalpindi as they defeated England by nine wickets in the third match of the three-match test series.

With this victory, the Shan Masood-led side clinched the test series 2-1. This is the first test series win for Pakistan against England since 2015. Pakistan also won their first test series at home since 2021.

Talking about the match, England scored 267 runs after opener Ben Duckett (52) and wicket-keeper batter Jamie Smith (89) notched up crucial fifties.

In reply, hosts Pakistan were struggling at 177-7 at one point. However, Saud Shakeel notched up fantastic 134 off 223 and Sajid Khan contributed with an unbeaten 48, which guided them to 344 runs.

Pakistan spinners Noman Ali (6/42) and Sajid Khan (4/69) produced stunning spells as England were bundled out for just 112 runs in their second innings. 

While chasing just 36 runs, skipper Shan Masood played a brisk knock of 23* off six deliveries as the hosts won the Rawalpindi test by nine wickets.

After this memorable test series victory, the Pakistan cricket team are placed seventh in the latest ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 standings. They have won four out of 10 matches they played in this cycle so far. Their PCT (percentage of points won) is 33.33.

After the series defeat, England are ranked sixth in the latest ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 points table. The Three Lions have played 19 and won nine games till now in this cycle. Their PCT currently is 40.79.

India and Australia are the two top sides in the latest ICC WTC 2023-25 standings. India’s PCT is 68.06, and Australia’s is 62.50.

Sri Lanka and South Africa are placed in third and fourth positions, respectively. New Zealand are fifth with four wins in nine matches they have played in this cycle so far.

Bangladesh and the West Indies are languishing at the bottom of the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 standings.
