In their previous clash, the Women in Blue crushed New Zealand Women by 53 runs (DLS method) to confirm their spot in the semis. Pratika Rawal and Smriti Mandhana were the main reason behind the win, hammering centuries to propel the scoreboard to 340/3. Later, they restricted New Zealand for 271/8 after the latter were given a revised target of 325 runs in 44 overs.

Speaking about Bangladesh Women, they are already eliminated from the race to the semis, winning just one game out of six clashes so far. Bangladesh’s lone victory came against Pakistan Women by seven wickets in their first match. Later, the Nigar Sultana-led side lost their five clashes against England, New Zealand, South Africa, Australia, and Sri Lanka. With two points, they languish at bottom of the points table.

Notably, India Women have a dominating record against Bangladesh Women in WODIs, winning six games and losing only one clash out of eight encounters. One match ended in a tie.
