The Day 1 of the IND vs NZ test match in Bengaluru was called off due to rain.
After thrashing Bangladesh 2-0 at home in the two-match test series, the Indian cricket team are hosting the New Zealand cricket team for a three-match test series, which officially got underway on October 16, though a ball hasn’t been bowled yet.
The first test match between India and New Zealand is being held at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
However, the first day of the test was called off without toss due to consistent rain in Bengaluru. Although the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium has one of the best drainage systems in the world, rain didn’t relent at all on Wednesday.
After the Day 1 play was officially called off, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) posted a tweet, where they revealed the timings of toss and start of play on Day 2 of the Bengaluru test.
At what time play will start on Day 2 of the IND vs NZ Bengaluru test?
The toss on Day 2 of the Bengaluru test is scheduled to take place at 8:45 AM IST, and the game has a kick-off time of 9:15 AM IST. This, of course, is conditional to rain allowing play to happen on Thursday.
