The first day of the first IND vs NZ test match in Bengaluru was washed out completely.
The Indian cricket team started their home test season with a 2-0 victory over Bangladesh in the two-match test series. After crushing Bangladesh, the Asian Giants are hosting the New Zealand cricket team for a three-match test series, which officially began on October 16.
The opening test between India and New Zealand is being played at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. However, day 1 of the test was called off due to persistent rain in Bengaluru.
It is to be noted that, the Bengaluru stadium has one of the best drainage facilities in the world, but the rain didn’t relent at all on Wednesday and even toss couldn’t happen.
IND vs NZ: Bengaluru weather forecast for day 2 of 1st test (Thursday, 17 October)
The weather report for day 2 of the ongoing Bengaluru test, which is Thursday, 17 October, isn’t positive at all. According to Accuweather, the weather in Bengaluru will remain cloudy, and there are chances of thunderstorms during day 2 of the IND vs NZ first test.
The probability of precipitation is 40%. There is a 24% chance of a thunderstorm on October 17 in Bengaluru. A cloud cover will remain throughout the day.
What are the revised timings of the IND vs NZ 1st test match in Bengaluru on day 2?
After Day 1 was called off due to rain, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) revealed the toss timings and start of play on day 2.
On day 2, the toss is scheduled to take place at 8:45 AM IST and the match is scheduled to start at 9:15 AM IST. This is if rain allows things to get underway on time.
