Sarfaraz Khan registered his maiden test century in the 1st IND vs NZ test.

The first IND vs NZ test at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru has got everyone glued to their screens as the Indian cricket team has staged a marvellous comeback through half-centuries from Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli and a maiden test century from young Sarfaraz Khan.

Even after being bowled out for 46 runs and conceding a first innings deficit of 356 runs, after the first hour of play on day 4, the match hangs in the balance as India are quickly cutting down the deficit to bring the game to scores to parity.

India had produced a thrilling batting performance in Kanpur against Bangladesh not too long ago to eke out a result in their favour. However, doing something similar against New Zealand over a sustained period of time is simply outstanding.

With the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) points at stake, both teams are looking to win this match. However, the weather could play spoilsport. The first day of the 1st IND vs NZ test was completely washed out and since then there hasn’t been a significant break due to rain on the next two days. Let’s talk about the weather forecast in Bengaluru on day 4 of this test, that is October 19, Saturday.

IND vs NZ: Bengaluru weather forecast for day 4 of 1st test (Saturday, 19 October)

The forecast for Saturday, October 19, in Bengaluru is for the skies to remain mostly cloudy during daytime. The probability of precipitation is 25%, which isn’t much. So even if rain interrupts the match today, it wouldn’t be for long. However, a cloud cover will remain and that would keep the New Zealand pacers interested.
