The second IND vs WI test at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi will begin on October 10.

After a gap of six days, it’s time for second test of the two-match series between Indian Cricket Team and the West Indies Cricket Team. The clash will commence on Friday, October 10 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

The Shubman Gill-led India lead the two-match series 1-0 after winning the opening game by an innings and 140 runs. In the encounter, West Indies were bowled out for 162 runs in the first innings after opting to bat first. Mohammed Siraj claimed a four-wicket haul while Jasprit Bumrah grabbed three wickets.

Later, India scored 448/5d with centuries from KL Rahul, Dhruv Jurel, and Ravindra Jadeja. The hosts earned a massive lead of 286 runs, which was enough to outplay the opposition in the clash. Bowling out the West Indies for 146 runs in the second innings, India registered a comfortable victory.

After the victory in the first test, India occupy the third spot in ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 points table with a win percentage (PCT) of 55.56, while the West Indies are placed sixth with a win percentage of 0 and are yet to register a win in the ongoing cycle.

With the home advantage and better batting and bowling depth, the Shubman Gill & Co. are expected to dominate the visitors in the second test too. However, the West Indies will be looking forward to a better show in the next game with both bat and ball.

IND vs WI: What are the session timings for day 1 of the second test at Arun Jaitley Stadium? 

The first day of the Delhi test will begin at 9:30 AM IST with the first session ending at 11:30 AM IST, followed by a 40-minute lunch break. The second session will be played from 12:10 PM to 2:10 PM.

A 20-minute tea break will follow it. The final session will take place from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM. There is a 30-minute extra time from 4:30 PM to 5 PM to cover the daily quota of overs.
