After losing the opening match of the ongoing five-match T20I series, the Indian cricket team bounced back in style as they defeated hosts Zimbabwe by 100 runs in the second game of the ongoing series at the Harare Sports Club in Harare on July 7.

The third T20I of the ongoing five-match series between the two sides will be played at the very same venue in Harare on Wednesday, July 10. 

In the second T20I, Indian opener Abhishek Sharma hammered his maiden T20I century off just 46 balls and Ruturaj Gaikwad played a stunning unbeaten knock of 77 runs, which helped the visitors to a massive total of 234/2 in 20 overs. The duo also shared 137-run partnership for the second wicket.

While defending 234, Indian bowlers dismantled the Zimbabwe batting line-up as they were bundled for just 134 runs and lost the exciting match by 100 runs. Men in Blue pacers Avesh Khan and Mukesh Kumar took three wickets each, whereas leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi bagged two scalps.

The 23-year-old Indian all-rounder Abhishek Sharma was adjudged Player of the Match for his brilliant hundred.

With the ongoing five-match T20I series leveled 1-1, both sides will look to take the lead in the third match on July 10 in Harare. Zimbabwe need to fix all three departments in order to challenge the current T20 World Champions.
