Asia Cup 2023 is just a few games away from reaching its final game. Just three matches are left in the Super Four, and India will play two of them. The next game will be played between the defending champion Sri Lanka and the seven-time champion India on Tuesday.

It will be the fourth game of the Super Four stage. This match will take place at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Team India are coming off a huge win over Pakistan in that game that was played across two days. Both teams have won one match each, and a win on Tuesday will help the winner guarantee a place in the final.

IND vs SL: India's Predicted Playing XI vs Sri Lanka

1. Rohit Sharma (C):

The Indian captain, Rohit Sharma, is in great form and is coming off two back-to-back half-centuries in the last two games. However, the fifty against Pakistan would have given him great confidence, and Rohit Sharma will look to continue his form and take India to the final. One good innings from Rohit against Sri Lanka can take India to the final.

2. Shubman Gill:

Shubman Gill is another Indian batter who is currently in the form of his life. He is the highest run-scorer in 2023 across formats and the only batter to score more than 1400 runs. Gill is also coming off two consecutive half-centuries. The opener will look to add some more runs when he is in good form.

3. Virat Kohli :

Virat Kohli has been phenomenal for last 15 years now. And he showed it once again against Pakistan with his 47th ODI hundred. He smashed am unbeaten 122 and won Man of the Match award. He also became the fastest to 13,000 ODI runs and will look to deliver another match-winning performance against Sri Lanka.

4. KL Rahul:

KL Rahul made his comeback in the last game since March. But it didn't look that he was away from the game for a long time. He smashed his 6th ODI hundred on his return against Pakistan and showed that why he is rates so highly in the Indian middle order. So we will be eager to play and score more runs.

5. Ishan Kishan (WK):

Ishan Kishan has played once in this tournament against Pakistan in the group stage game and scored a brilliant fifty under pressure. He can take the game away from any situation, and this will be a brilliant chance for him to spend time in the crease.

6. Hardik Pandya:

Hardik Pandya is the X-factor in the Indian team and one of the most impactful players in this tournament. The all-rounder is in good form with both the bat and the ball. He will look to continue that form against Sri Lanka and keep chipping away with such game-changing moments every now and then.

7. Ravindra Jadeja:

Ravindra Jadeja is another three-dimensional player that India have at the moment. His form is also just brilliant, and whatever he does, he puts everything into it. Team India will hope that he can contribute with the ball and use the conditions well, and if required to bat, he can smash some big sixes.

8. Shardul Thakur:

Shardul Thakur has been India's go-to bowler when it comes to breaking the partnership. Rohit always uses him when he needs wickets. Shardul has improved as a bowler, and his batting has also improved in recent times, which is why he has an edge over others in the playing XI.

9. Kuldeep Yadav:

Pakistan were not able to pick Kuldeep Yadav at all, and he ended up with a brilliant spell of 5/25. He will have grown in confidence after that performance and will be eyeing another match-winning spell. The pitch in Colombo helps spinners a lot, and Kuldeep is one of the few bowlers who can spin the bowl on any surface.

10. Mohammed Shami :

Back-to-back games can be hard on the players, which is why we might see a few players resting. Jasprit Bumrah didn't come to bowl his second spell against Pakistan, so we might see him rest and Mohammed Shami replace him. Shami played against Nepal and looked good. He will look to chip in some wickets in the powerplay.

11. Mohammed Siraj:

Mohammed Siraj will be India's new ball bowler, and a lot will depend on how he bowls. Siraj has been in great form in recent times and has been India's best bowler in the absence of senior players. He will be one of the threat for the defending champions because he can trouble any batting line-up.
