Mustafizur Rahman is one Bangladeshi player who stands out from his colleagues who take part in Indian Premier League. Mustafizur Rahman has been a great achiever in cricket’s richest league in the World. ‘Fizz’ has impressed everyone with his wicket-taking ability in T20 cricket and that kept himself as a regular figure in IPL. Mustafizur has been rewarded with an IPL contract once again as he joins Chennai Super Kings for the upcoming IPL 2024 season. 

Keeping his injury period out, the left-arm pacer has become one of the finest pacers to play for Bangladesh in the white-ball format. Mustafizur Rahman’s success in various T20 leagues around the world has earned him a big reputation in the shortest format of the game. His variations are sometimes very difficult to deal with for any batter and he has made a big impact with his slower balls in the IPL while playing in the past.

Bangladesh pacer entered Mustafizur Rahman the IPL 2024 auction at a base price of 2 crores, and he got sold to CSK at his base price of 2 crores. CSK have acquired his services for IPL 2024. Bangladeshi pacer Mustafizur Rahman was an economic pick for Chennai Super Kings as no other franchise was interested in him. Rahman has done a magnificent job in the league so far.

Starting with Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2016, ‘Fizz’ has worn three other jerseys in the league. Mustafizur has played for Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals, and Delhi Capitals in the league. He made his debut with Sunrisers Hyderabad in their title-winning campaign in IPL 2016 against Royal Challengers Bangalore at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. He made an impactful performance by picking up 2 wickets in his 4 overs spell. 

The 28-year-old Mustafizur Rahman was named as ‘Emerging Player of the Tournament’ and was the first overseas player to win the award. Mustafizur Rahman didn’t get much opportunity to play in Delhi Capitals camp last season and played only two games in the entire season. Mustafizur has played 48 IPL games in 6 IPL seasons and has picked up 47 wickets. His best figures are 3/16 which came in his debut season.
