Wanindu Hasaranga, Sri Lankan bowling all-rounder, has earned a reputation as one of the most formidable spinners in the shortest formats of the game. His ability to consistently find the perfect line and length has made him a nightmare for batsmen worldwide. Hasaranga’s rapid bowling action, combined withhis mystery deliveries, has often left opponents struggling.
However, the cricketing world has been eagerly awaiting Hasaranga’s return to action since his unfortunate injury during the Lanka premier league 2023. The setback prevented him from representing Sri Lanka in crucial tournaments like Asia Cup 2023 and ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. His absence was deeply felt.
Wanindu Hasaranga sold to Sunrisers Hyderabad
Sri Lankan bowling all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga entered the IPL 2024 auction at a base price of 1.5 crores, and he got sold to Sunrisers Hyderabad for a whopping price of 1.50 crore.

Wanindu Hasaranga left an indelible mark in Indian Premier League (IPL) with his stellar performances. Joining Royal Challengers Bangalore for the second phase of IPL 2021 season, Hasaranga made a memorable debut against Kolkata Knight Riders on September 20, 2021. In 2022 IPL Auction, he was once again picked up by the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
In his IPL career, Hasaranga has played 26 matches, scoring 72 runs at an average of 7.20, while also showcasing his bowling abilities with 35 wickets at an impressive average of 21.37. As he recuperates from his injury setback, fans eagerly anticipate his return in IPL.
