Glenn Maxwell managed to score only four runs in the RCB vs GT clash on Saturday.

In match No. 52 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Gujarat Titans (GT) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, RCB middle-order batter Glenn Maxwell once again failed with the bat.

After winning the toss and bowling first, Bengaluru bowlers took wickets at regular intervals as they restricted visitors to a moderate total of 147 runs. Shah Rukh Khan (37), David Miller (30), and Rahul Tewatia (38) contributed with the bat to help the Titans reach above 140 runs. With the ball, Vijaykumar Vyshak, Mohammed Siraj, and Yash Dayal scalped two wickets each for the hosts.

While chasing 148, Bengaluru openers Virat Kohli and skipper Faf du Plessis went bonkers against the Gujarat bowling line-up as they stitched a 35-ball 92 stand for the opening wicket. However, visitors pulled things back with the ball as Bengaluru saw a huge batting collapse, losing six batters in the middle phase as they crumbled to 117/6 after an impressive opening stand.

Towards the end, wicket-keeper batter Dinesh Karthik scored an unbeaten 18 as the hosts won the thrilling clash by four wickets. The Titans’ pacer Joshua Little took a four-wicket haul, while leg-spinner Noor Ahmad grabbed two wickets.
